Planet Bordeaux, The Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur Winemakers’ Association, presents the third edition of A Goldmine of Planet Bordeaux Wines on September 23, 2014 in New York. In preparation for the event, MPB Agency had the exciting opportunity to visit Bordeaux. In total, 74 wines from 18 importers and distributers will be showcased, including an additional discovery table.
Michael Madrigale, the Head Sommelier of Bar Boulud, Boulud Sud and Epicerie Boulud, was recently announced as the ambassador of Planet Bordeaux wines in the United States. He will host a food and wine seminar during the event.

The 5th edition of French Restaurant Week®, in partnership with Open Table®, took place from July 7-14, 2014 in the New York City area.
25 French restaurants participated in this French Restaurant Week, truly celebrating French Gastronomy and Terroirs. Customers enjoyed three pre-fixe menu prices at $17.89, $35.78, and $178.90.
This year, wines of Roussillon were highlighted, with some restaurants offering Roussillon wine pairings with their featured dishes.

From July 7th to July 14th, while enjoying delicious reduced price cuisine for French Restaurant Week®, locals and visitors were also invited to take part in the numerous events held to celebrate Bastille Week®.
Friday, July 11 started with the Bastille Day Ball at Club 404, organized by the Committee of French Speaking Societies, under the Patronage of His Excellency Francois Delattre, Ambassador of France to the United States.
July 11 continued with Petanque tournaments organized by Paris Gourmet for the restaurant industry trade at Cercle Rouge.
Sunday, July 13 held the French Institute Alliance Française’s annual street fair on 60th street, with delightful eats, refreshing beverages and live music. It also offered a prize drawing and fun activities for children, such as face painting and arts & crafts.
July 12 also presented a wine tasting in FIAF’s Le Skyroom, with over 25 extraordinary French wines, savory hors d’oeuvres from Le Cirque’s very own Raphael François, and delicious Président Specialty cheeses. Celebrated sommeliers and wine experts guided the guests throughout their journey of tasting.
Monday, July 14 at Le Parigot offered guests live music and 2 special menu options for a reduced price dinner.
Finally, Bastille Week presented those who liked their Facebook page the chance to enter into a sweepstakes sponsored by Air France®. The winner received 2 round-trip economy class tickets on Air France® operated flights between New York – JFK and Paris, France, along with a dinner and show at the famous Moulin Rouge®.

From May 12th to May 18th, 2014, Loire Valley Wines restaurant week, contracted with Sopexa and in partnership with OpenTable, was launched in New York, Miami, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Across the 5 cities, various restaurants showcased 6 appellations from Loire Valley, France’s most diverse wine region.
Selected restaurants even promoted a tailored menu, pairing a Loire Valley wine with an appetizer or main course.
On April 15, 2014, MPB Agency organized a press lunch at OCabanon in New York City took place for Loire Valley Wines Restaurant Week, contracted with Sopexa.
Press in attendance included: Food Arts, FOODCalendar Publications, French Morning, FriendsEat, Epoch Times, NTDTV, Wine Enthusiast and USA 21 TV.
Baron Francois was also present for the lunch, showcasing some of the wines, and suggested wine pairings.
